Simple Perfection (Rosemary Beach, 5) by Abbi Glines│Review

♥♥♥♥♥

♥Synopsis♥

Woods had his perfect life mapped out for him. Rise up the ranks of the family business. Marry the rich girl of his parents’ dreams. Pretend that wealth and privilege was all he’d ever wanted. Then a girl named Della breezed into town, a beautifully imperfect stranger who captured his heart and opened his eyes to a new kind of future. Woods is ready and willing to sacrifice everything for her when the sudden death of his father leaves him with his mother to care for and a business to manage.

Della is determined to be strong for Woods, even as she’s quietly falling to pieces. No matter how far from home she’s run, the ghosts of her past have never stopped haunting her. Struggling to hide her true feelings from Woods, Della fears she can’t be his rock without dragging him down into the darkness with her. But is she strong enough to let go of the last thing holding her together?

♥My Review♥

Abbi sure did through us a curve ball with Simple Perfection! This book had all the feels and then some when compared to her other books. I felt like an emotional wreck with this one.

This starts about 1 week from the place that Twisted Perfection left of. One thing I really liked, was you were able to get to see more of the fight between Della and Angelina had when Blaire (Forever Too Far) came in and saved the day.
Della and Woods are happy and trying to figure things out. Della has all her self doubts that she isn't good enough for Woods when Woods feels that he can't breath if Della isn't at his side.
Woods is trying to figure out how to protect Della from anything and everything because he knows how fragile she is with her past and wants to do nothing but help her and love her.
I think Della's character has the most growth in this book and she learns some things about her past that she had no clue of and this information helps her out tremendously with her fears.
We are introduced to new characters with Della and get a little more insight some of the situations from Della's childhood.
Lots of things happen in Simple Perfection and we get to see a lot of characters, especially Blaire, Rush and Nate which is always nice. There will be things that happen which you will not see coming and there are new situations that have not shown up in Abbi's writing from the her books that I have read. I could be wrong about this!!!
We are also given glances and setups for Grant's book and possibly some others such as Tripp and a certain character that I will not mention.
I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't say anything else.
If you haven't read any of the Rosemary Beach Books, I strongly recommend you get on that because you will fall in love with these characters as much as I have!

The Master Undone (Inside Out #2.5) by Lisa Renee Jones│Review

♥♥♥♥♥

♥Synopsis♥

*** The Master Undone is a part of the Inside Out trilogy, and is told from his POV. ***

I told him goodbye, and I will not call him. I know if I do, it will be my undoing, and I'll once again be caught up in his spell. I will once again be...lost.

In her private journals, Rebecca laid bare her soul, revealing her obsession for the one man whose erotic demands captivated her imagination--and enslaved her forever. Now, with Rebecca no longer in his life he is lost, questioning everything he thought he knew about himself and about control he holds in such high regard.

One women will reach out to heal him and then turn away, leaving him haunted. She is nothing he thought he wanted and somehow everything he needs. He tells himself to forget her but he cannot escape his desire for her. He has to have more...

♥My Review♥

This was possibly my favorite of all the novella's in this series! This was strictly about the "Master" and what happens right after we find out what happened to Rebecca. He is dealing with the outcome of that situation and is thrown into another when he finds out his mother is ill.

He meets Crystal, who works for his mother in New York and she is everything that he is not attracted to. She is him, only in female form. She sparks feelings in him that he hasn't ever had and is challenging in every way possible and full with wit.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has read the series and all the journals.

Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Volume 4: My Master (Inside Out #1.4) by Lisa Renee Jones│Review

♥Synopsis♥

An Inside Out novella...

A hot new erotic story by New York Times and USA Today Best Selling author Lisa Renee Jones

Connection to The Inside Out Trilogy that has recently been optioned to STARZ for TV with Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland w/Johnny Depp) producing and includes exciting clues for the series readers but stands alone as it’s own exciting erotic story.

The Inside Out Trilogy includes IF I WERE YOU, BEING ME, and REVEALING US

In part four of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, My Master , it’s Rebecca turn to claim control and set the limits in her relationship.

♥My Review♥

In this set of journals, we get to see Rebecca's backbone. She has seen most of what her "Master" is offering. She has realized that she has lost herself while becoming what he wanted her to become.

She starts to put her foot down and dare I say she uses her "Safe" word. She takes some space and starts to become her old self. Someone who she worked hard to become and doesn't SUBMIT to anyone.

She loves her Master, but she realizes that he can't love her in the same way. She believes he cares for her deeply, but isn't willing to make the sacrifice of changing his lifestyle to be with her.

Who says goodbye? Rebecca? Master?

In part three of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, His Submissive , Rebecca must decide just how far she will go for the darkly intense man who she is falling in love with. And does she dare believe that he too, will ever love her?

♥My Review♥

Another great insight to Rebecca's life and her struggle of decideing if she can hand over all her trust to this man who she is falling for. We get to a front seat to her emotions as she struggles with herself as she decides to sign the contract or not.

When a second "Master" comes in to play, Rebecca is confused why she submits HER MASTER by submitting to the new Master. She has mixed feelings because she isn't comfortable sharing or being shared.

♥My Review♥

I enjoyed this novella very much. This novella gives us insight to what the "Master" has in his contract. He explains to Rebecca that she truly holds all the power, if she says stop or no, he stops with no questions asked.

Rebecca has some issues with the contract and debates whether to continue further in this relationship. She expresses her fears and that she is falling for this man, but realizes that he can't return her feelings.

Can Rebecca agree to his terms or come up with her own to make it work?

Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Volume 1: The Seduction (Inside Out #1.1)│ Lisa Renee Jones

♥♥♥♥♥

♥Synopsis♥

An Inside Out novella...

The secret life of Rebecca and the men who have seduced her.
These are the journals Sara never sees, but you the reader, will!

Connection to The Inside Out Trilogy that has recently been optioned to STARZ for TV with Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland w/Johnny Depp) producing and includes exciting clues for the series readers but stands alone as it’s own exciting erotic story.

The Inside Out Trilogy includes IF I WERE YOU, BEING ME, and REVEALING US
In part one of Rebecca’s Lost Journals, The Seduction, Rebecca meets the rich, darkly alluring man who will draw her into a passionate, intense affair and tempt her into erotic experiences she never thought she would dare.

♥My Review♥

I read this after I read Being Me (#2 Inside Out) so I had no spoilers who the "Master" was from If I Were You. This can be read as a companion rather than part of the series. I would recommend reading If I Were You since there are spoilers in it.
I enjoyed this novella very much. We get an inside look to what kind of person Rebecca is and the similarities to her and Sara when being introduced into the life style of BDSM Relationships.
This novella of journal entries go over the course of when Rebecca joined Riptide and how she actually landed the internship. How she meets her future "Master" and how she effects him. It also gives you an insight into characters from the series such as Chris Merit and Ava that you meet in If I Were You and Being Me.
I enjoyed this novella and while it isn't a necessity to read as part of the series, I really liked discovering more things about Rebecca and her "Master".
I gave it ♥♥♥♥ out of ♥♥♥♥♥ on Goodreads
and would recommend to any reader of this series!

If I Were You (Inside Out Tirilogy #1) by Lisa Renee Jones⌡Review

♥♥♥♥♥

♥Synopsis♥

When Sara McMillan finds a stack of journals in a storage unit, she's shocked and enthralled by the erotic lie the writer led. Unable to stop reading  she vicariously lives out dark fantasies through Rebecca, the writer-until the terrifying final entry.

Certain something sinister has happened, Sara sets out to discover the facts, immersing herself in Rebecca's life. Soon she's working a the art gallery Rebecca worked at and meeting Rebecca's friends. Finding herself drawn to two dangerously sexy men, the manager of the gallery and a famed artist, Sara realizes she's going down the same path Rebecca took. But with the promise of her dark needs being met by a man with confident good looks and a desire for control, she's not sure anything else matters. Just the burn for more.

♥My Review♥
Sara McMillan is a school teacher with an Art Degree and her best friend, Ella, who just elope with her new mysterious fiance, leaves Sara a storage unit and its contents to sell and make money.

This storage unit contains a set of journals of the previous owner, Rebecca. These journals contain Rebecca's most intimate moments that she had with a man that she refer's to as Master in their BDSM relationship. These entries intrigue Sara enough to where she starts to think that something bad has happened to Rebecca. This leads Sara to investigate what happened with hopes of returning all these journals and contents of the unit to Rebecca.

Sara ends up working at the same Art Galley that Rebecca worked at, and evidently ends up leading  a similar life to Rebecca described in the journals. Sara has her suspicions of several men who she meets, who could be the "Master" that Rebecca was writing about.

This story takes you on a journey with Sara as she lives her life that borderlines Rebecca's in an uncanny way. You will suspect several characters with different motives which could explain where Rebecca is and if she's coming back.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of the series. I really liked Lisa's writing and all the conspiracy theories that she will led you to question what really happened and who was behind it.

This book ends on a serious cliffhanger, so I suggest you have the second installment, Being Me (Inside Out #2) ready to pick up as soon as you finish this book.

I gave this ♥♥♥♥♥ out of ♥♥♥♥♥ on Goodreads and would definitely recommend this to those over the age of 18yrs.
