Knock Love Out by Pella Grace│ Review

♥♥♥

♥Synopsis♥

LILLA KING: 30-something married marketing exec
LILLA LING is a good wife. She cooks, cleans and has dinner waiting when her husband gets home. But there's something missing. Something Lilla desperately craves, needs. And the one man who's supposed to provide it is completely and utterly clueless. But Lilla knows it's just a matter of time before things change. Before she finds what she desires. The one thing standing in her way? Her marriage.

A trip to the grocery store leaves Lilla unable to keep her fantasies at bay. One look at the beautiful man working in the produce section has her sneaking out of the house and lying to her husband. One smile from him has her buying push-up bras and dancing stupidly in the aisles. One kiss makes her question what true love is One night with CASH VALENTINE reveals she isn't the only one hiding secret desires.

What if love you've always wanted, dreamed possible, and craved was right there for the taking? What if you could have everything you've always wanted, if only you didn't belong to another?

CASH VALENTINE: 24-year-old artist and grocery store clerk
"I want to knock her love out. I want to pull it from her chest while it's beating fervently and be slapped for doing so. To play. To rumble. Truth and lies. Ugly sin and the pretties fucking thing I have ever seen."--Cash

24-year-old CASH VALENTINE has always followed his heart. A free spirit and an artist, Cash passes the time working in his father's grocery store. When not goofing off with his friends at work, he's getting grief from his dad for being irresponsible. But Cash knows it's only a matter of time before something changes. And then one day, Cash's world shifts, and he can't get the woman he met in the check-out lane out of his head. What started as flirtatious conversation with a muse, tuns quickly into stolen moments with the love of his life.

But what happens when the love of your life belongs to another man? And what if that man owns everything your family has worked for?

What would you risk for true love?

KNOCK OUT LOVE is a new adult crossover that will leave you wanting more. Told from both Lilla and Cash's points of view, readers will learn first-hand what it's like coming of age, falling madly in love and doing so with another man's wife, while watching the heartbreaking erosion of Lilla's marriage as she runs into the arms of another.

♥My Review♥

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lilla King is a thirty-something year old who is in a loveless marriage. As much as she has tried to salvage what is left, she is emotional abused by her husband.

Lilla decides she is going to have an affair...she goes to a town about 40 miles or so away so she can find someone and not get caught.

Cash (Warren) Valentine is a twenty-four year old who works in his families grocery store and is a talented artist. Cash is suave with women and he knows how to give them what they want.

This is a story where Lilla and Cash meet...leading to one hot affair!

I didn't love this book but I didn't hate it! I in no way, support adultery no matter the circumstances. Everyone has a choice and I think what Lilla did was wrong, but ended up making the right choice.

I loved Cash's neighbors...the friendship and back and forth banter made me continue to read on.

The first half of this book flowed well...it was easy to follow. The second half seemed to be dragged out, then rushed at the end.

At first, I rated this with ♥♥ out of ♥♥♥♥♥...but ultimately decided to give it ♥♥♥ out of ♥♥♥♥♥ on Good Reads because I didn't love this book, but I liked it and that seemed like a fair enough score.

Forever Too Far (Rosemary Beach # 4) by Abbi Glines│ Review

♥♥♥♥♥

♥Synopsis♥

Rush promised her forever...but promises can be broken.

Torn between his love for his family and his love for Blaire, Rush has to find a way to save one without losing the other. In the end one has to be more important. Letting go isn't easy.

Blaire believed in her fairytale...but no one can live in a fantasy.

Her love for Rush and desire to have a family keep her believing that they can find a way for this to work. Until she has to make the right decision for her and the baby. Even if it breaks her heart.

Can they find the forever that they both want or has it all just gone...too far?

♥My Review♥

This book couldn't have been written any better than it was. There are new stories as well as old ones being tied up. I think there was a lot of growth for several characters including more growth of Blaire and Rush in this book.

Rush has to deal with not only his mother, but Nan and the entire situation that had been started in Never Too Far. I am really proud that he stayed true to himself and not let others play on his emotions and manipulate him more than they have in the past!

The wedding song was a nice touch *you can purchase on iTunes* which made their wedding all the more special.  Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue...I fell in love with Rush even more. He has truly shown his true heart in this one and I'm glad that we get to see more of this side of him.

It's sad to say goodbye to Rush and Blaire, but I know we will see them again in future books in this series.

I gave this ♥♥♥♥♥ out of ♥♥♥♥♥ on Good Reads and would recommend not only this book, but the entire Rosemary Beach Series.

Never Too Far (Rosemary Beach # 2) by Abbi Glines│ Review

He had held a secret that destroyed her world.

Everything she had known was no longer true.

Blaire couldn't stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him.

Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life...until something happened to send her world spinning once again.

What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately?

You lie, hide, avoid, and pray your sins never find you out.

What can I say that I haven't said in my review of Fallen Too Far. Abbi Glines has a way of creating
amazing and intriguing characters and bringing them to life on the pages of all her amazing books.

This book is told from both Blaire and Rush's POV (point of view) and it was nice to see the different situations in the book from both their POV. There were many times where I was so mad at Rush while reading Blaire's POV, than it would switch to his and he would redeem himself.

I fell even more love with Rush Finley in Never Too Far, if that was even possible. Yes, he had issues and being in a relationship would be new...but he knew he loved Blaire and that was all that mattered. Blaire came first, everyone else be damned. He just needed to find a way to prove this to Blaire.

I felt so bad for Blaire...to have learned that the life she had was a complete lie. I felt for her and cried with her as she was trying to get back up and put her life together again. The last thing I expected was what she faced in the beginning of this book. She had a major obstacle ahead of her, and she felt like she was alone.

I loved seeing all the characters, Bethy, Jace, Jimmy, Woods and Grant in this book. I love Woods and how he was willing to help Blaire in any way that he could. I loved how protective Bethy was of Blaire and that Blaire had someone who fought for her when she felt that she couldn't.

Of course, since this book was part of Rush's, we had to deal with Nan and her outrageous behavior. I seriously wanted to slap the girl on many occasions...and Rush would make me so mad when dealing with her.

There was a lot of character development with Never Too Far and I think Rush and Blaire did most of it. They face a lot of life challenges in this story and I was pleased with the ending of the book.

I would definitely recommend Never Too Far only if you have read Fallen Too Far. If you haven't, read that first because this book starts off with spoilers from the first book.

Crashing Into You by B.D. Rowe│Review

Bookish college sophomore Sydney Baker wants Evan Taylor with every ounce of her being. The hottest stud on campus. Evan is six foot four, ripped, stacked with muscles. He's even easy to talk to.

There's just one problem: he's her roommates Melanie's boyfriend.

But when Melanie tragically dies after a night of wild partying, Sydney and Evan turn to each other in a time of intense grief. And it doesn't take long for their close friendship to blossom into something more.

Unfortunately for Sydney, secrets from the past soon put her relationship with Evan to the test. Especially when a sexy blonde freshman makes her way into Evan's life, and tries to rip away everything Sydney holds close to her heart.

**Mature Situations and Sexual Content- Recommend for Ages 17+**

I received this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

The synopsis of this book sounded very intriguing and drew my attention in. I didn't LOVE this book, but I thought it was good

Sydney, who is in college is plagued with a tragic incident that happened when she was in high school htat has followed her to college. This tragic event is driven throughout the book and tends to drive Sydney's outlook on life and partying.

Sydney as a massive crush on her roommate, Melanie, boyfriend who seems to have feelings for here. There seems to be a love/hate relationship with Sydney and Melanie. It's hard to determine if they are actually friends or just friendly because they live together.

Several major events, such as Melanie tragically dying after a night of partying which leads to Sydney and Evan getting together due to their grieving process over Melanie, that leads to a new girl entering Evan's life. This girl can definitely cause some problems with Evan and Sydney. She can even end their relationship.

I liked the plot, however it seemed repetitive as well as time consuming on certain subjects. It was almost like there was too much time spent explaining or extending events and relationships that were not detrimental to the story. There was a lack of development in the plot as well as the characters.

I think this has the potential to be an amazing book, if it undergoes some revising and making the story and characters flow more natural that will help link all the events together.

Losing Hope (Hopeless, # 2 ) by Colleen Hoover│Review

In the follow-up of Colleen Hoover's #1 New York Times bestseller Hopeless, the charming ad irresistible Dean Holder tells the passionate story that has melted thousands of hearts.

In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no felling unshared, and no memory forgotten, but Holder's past remained a mystery.

Still haunted by the little girl he let walk away, Holder has spent his entire life searching for her in an attempt to finally rid himself of his crushing guilt he has felt for years. ut he could not have anticipated that the moment they reconnect, even greater remorse would overwhelm him...

Sometimes in life, if we wish to move forward, we must first dig deep into our past and make amends. In Losing Hope, bestselling author Colleen Hoover reveals what was going on inside Holder's head during all those hopeless moments- and whether he can gain the peace he desperately needs.

I possibly love this more than Hopeless, if that is even possible!!

Okay, so I went into this knowing that it was told in Holders POV (Point of View). I knew I would get the info that I wanted in Hopeless. What I got was so much more than I had ever hoped for!

First, I just want to say that I am in awe of Colleen Hoover and her capability to write and create such emotional characters in her books!

I have to say, that this book would not be as funny as it was heart wrenching and emotional without our beloved sidekicks, Breckin and Daniel.

This book was everything I could ask for and more. Not only did we get to live the Hopeless through Holder's eyes, we got more background and such an emotional conclusion to Sky and Holder's story.

Colleen Hoover's love for writing began in 1985 when she was five years old. Her first story was titled "Mystery Bob" and was a huge hit with her mother, who was really good at faking interest. Colleen continued to write short stories for friends and family until December of 2011, when she decided to write along story she titled, "Slammed." She self-published SLAMMED to Amazon in January, 2012 and it hit the NYT's bestsellers list in May, 2012. She had since signed with Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, and now has six NYT's bestsellers. Colleen prefers to be called a writer, as the term "author" still terrifies her and makes this feel like a job with expectations. She doesn't work well under pressure and hopes writing will always remain fun and exciting.

Finding Cinderella (Hopeless, # 2.5 ) by Colleen Hoover│Review

♥♥♥♥♥

Synopsis

This novella is a companion novel to the Hopeless series. but can be read as a standalone.

A chance encounter in the dark leads eighteen-year-old Daniel and the girl who stumbles across him to profess their love for each other. But this love comes with conditions: they agree it will only last one hour and it will only be make-believe.

When their hour is up and the girl rushes of like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them only seemed perfect because they were pretending it was perfect. Moments like that with girls like her don't happen outside of fairytales.

One year and one bad relationship later, his disbelief in insta-love is stripped away the day he meets Six: a girl with a strange name and an even stranger personality. Daniel soon realizes the way he pretend to feel about Cinderella and the way he really feels about Six may not be so different after all. Especially when the two lovers of his life end up being one in the same.

Unfortunately for Daniel, Finding Cinderella doesn't guarantee their happily ever after...it only further threatens it.

♥My Review♥

Being a HUGE fan of Colleen Hoover and her Hopeless series, I only had one reservation when it came to this novella, and that's the fact that it was just that, a novella. How can this novella sum up Daniel and Six's story? How can a reader be satisfied with only 105 pages?

Colleen Hoover has a way of writing these beautiful stories and capturing all the characters emotions in her writing. I promise you, when you read one of Colleen Hoover's books, you will feel every emotion that her characters feel. It's truly inspiring to know that Mrs. Hoover can not only write an emotional pact book, but deliver a story that will leave her readers satisfied.

Now, Daniel was by far my favorite character in the Hopeless series, which we see a lot of him in Losing Hope. He has this sense of humor and wit that makes me giggle like a school girl. The banter between Daniel and Holder was hysterical in Losing Hope and I am so happy it's still there in Finding Cinderella.

Now, at the end of Losing Hope I believe, we get a glimpse into Finding Cinderella when we discover that Six was most likely Cinderella from Daniel's story that he told Holder and Breckin.

In this book, we get to see the moment when Daniel met his Cinderella and the sweet moment that they shared for one hour, in the janitors closet. It was perfect...that's all I can sum it up into words.

This story will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. You will laugh, be giddy with the cheesy lines (which you will not mind) and than you will cry...because like the Synopsis says, Finding Cinderella doesn't guarantee their happily ever after.

I gave this ♥♥♥♥♥ out of ♥♥♥♥♥ on Goodreads and would definitely recommend it.
